"I Found My Thrill on Blueberry Hill"

Of all the categories of fruit that I can come up with: stone, melon, tropical, citrus, cores, my favorite might just be the BERRIES.

My number one love are the ones of the crystal blue persuasion (I know that they are not actually that color, but I want to see how many song references I can make in this one post. Let's see if you can spot them all and comment below)!

We have a blueberry bush that must be around 65 years old at my family weekend home, so the bloobs give me all kinds of nostalgia. We planted new bushes closer to my house in "garden number 2" (we have 4) five years ago and the new blueberries are also AMAZING. My cousin Carrie and I are 6 weeks apart and when we would go picking together as babies, her container would be full and mine would be empty (because I would just stand there and eat them all on site.

This pretty much sums up our personalities. I'd rather be blue, my dreams come true).  This smoothie is great because it is creamy, sweet, filling and hits the spot all year round. Frozen blueberries works wonderfully for this recipe, so you can make it any day of the year with the freshest ingredients. Drinking this smoothie for breakfast is a great way to start your day or even balance your blood sugar levels if you are experiencing that afternoon dip so you don't feel blue, da-boo-dee da-boo-die.
