Nasoya Dumplings with Tahini Ginger Dipping Sauce

The perfect food just may be delicious vegetables wrapped in dough, ready to be dipped.

So when Nasoya reached out to me and asked if I would recipe test with their incredibly tasty dumplings, I JUMPED at the chance (sponsered). They have two plant-based flavors that they sent my way: Thai Basil Vegetable Dumplings and Tofu Vegetable Dumplings. The Thai Basil Vegetable Dumplings are stuffed with Nasoya's protein-packed “Super Firm Tofu”, green peas, carrots, red bell peppers and basil to create a trendy and authentic Thai-inspired dumpling. There is also a Korean BBQ Vegetable Dumpling flavor that I am looking forward to trying. The mix inside those pockets is a range of sweet, savory and smoky flavors and are filled with Nasoya's Super Firm high-protein tofu, vegetables and spices and are packed with 9 grams of protein per serving. Sounds delightful!

I was especially excited to eat these dumplings with their amazing and cozy flavors during these colder months of the year. Frying and steaming are both great cooking methods for preparing these dumplings as I recipe tested them both ways.

We even put them in soup one night when it was just me and my dad having dinner together and we loved the dumplings all warm and brothy. We are both vegetarians, so it was nice to be able to whip something up in under 30 minutes for us to enjoy. Although, when our meat eating family members found out we feasted on dumplings without them, they got jealous, so I had to make more the following night! Everyone was very satisfied.

These are not your run-of-the-mill takeout dumplings that contain boring, overcooked and under-seasoned veggies. Nasoya’s Vegan Dumplings are certified vegan, organic, and made with no artificial flavors or preservatives. Fresh and never frozen, all three varieties are made with Nasoya’s Super Firm Tofu – a great source of plant-based protein.

Nasoya dumplings are wonderful for hors d’oeuvres and are so convenient to bring to a potluck as they are portable and petit!

These vegan dumplings are perfect for impressing your loved ones (as well as yourself) and are even substantial enough for a perfect light meal. I had them for lunch with the hubster, Talia, Alli, her husband Eric and their baby Ruby and they looked and tasted amazing. Preparation could not be easier.

All I needed to do was make a killer dipping sauce recipe. We gotta dunk the dumps in something, right?!

I love a tahini + dumpling combo, so I started there and added ingredients to make this a perfectly balanced sauce.

Try these dumplings and dipping sauce for a quick mid-week bite over a cold beer and let me know what you think. (I love dumplings and cold beer, another fab combo). But the dumplings are terrific all on their own. They can be found at Wegmans and Stop & Shop.
